CHICAGO WOMAN TURNS 112 YEARS OLD

"I feel very, very good. I feel good," said Hosea Peeples.

Hosea Peeples was born on February 3, 1900.

She was born in Mississippi. Her mother was white and her father was black; a very rare situation in the segregated Deep South.

She moved to Chicago in 1926, and got a job in the steel mills. She sent some of her money back to her parents to help them with their farm.

She married in 1934, and was married for 50 years.

She now lives with her great niece, her great-great niece, and her great-great-great niece.
